Excerpts from Bloom

I went to a Beach House concert last Monday in Central Park - pictures forthcoming.

They were incredible live - it's amazing how much sound can come out of three people. Victoria Legrand's voice was beautiful. It started pouring rain and we could see bolts of purple lightning streaking the sky behind the stage as they played.

Keywords about this band that I kind of hate: heroin chic, dream pop, synth. But they really are great musicmakers and in the end it doesn't matter what all those kids are saying these days because let's face it, I'm getting a little old for that stuff.
